How to Buy a Pool
Buying a pool is easy! If youve got the money to spend on a pool, you can pay some pool experts to take care of the rest. However, there are a few things you can do to make sure you buy the right pool and you dont pay more for your pool than you have to. I found my Swimming Pool in a Swimming Pool magazine. You can pick up Swimming Pool magazines at a Swimming Pool specialty shop. If you see a swimming pool that you like in a Swimming Pool magazine, you just have to call the Swimming Pool company that makes that pool and ask them to come have a look at your property and give you an estimate. Theres more to installing a swimming pool than simply digging a hole and throwing a pool in because there are so many different factors that can affect your swimming pool installation. One thing that will affect your swimming pool installation is the type of soil in your back yard, or wherever you intend to install your swimming pool. If there are locks of rocks or clay, your swimming pool hole will be harder to dig and may require special swimming pool digging tools. You should find out from the swimming pool company if they charge extra for difficult soil conditions and that sort of thing.
Pools
There are plenty of pools available for different budgets in many different styles. The two main types of pools are the inground pool and the above ground pool. Both the inground pool and the above ground pool have their advantages and disadvantages. In terms of prices, inground pools tend to be a bit more expensive than above ground pools because in ground pools require that you dig a big hole before installing the pool. This requires a lot of special equipment.
Above Ground Pools
Above ground pools are great if you want to avoid the hassle of installing an inground pool. Also, aboveground pools are faster to install, so you can start using your above ground pool right away. Usually in ground pools take a while to install because you have to first dig a big hole to put it in. You can only do this in the spring in Canada when the ground has thawed. Then youll have to wait at least a few weeks until your inground pool is ready before you can go for a swim. Keep in mind that an above ground pool requires just as much maintenance as an in ground pool once its installed. Youll have to treat your above ground pool with special chemicals just as you would an inground pool.
Inground Pools
if you have the space and the money to install it, an inground pool can be a great investment and could greatly increase the value of your home. Of course, it depends where you live. Despite the long cold winters in Canada, inground pools are fairly common because Canadians have such hot summers. An even better investment in Canada would be an indoor inground pool . Indoor pools are often in special rooms with lots of windows and skylights. This helps to keep the snow and the rain and the cold outside and still lets in a little sun for when youre lounging around the pool.
Fiberglass Pools
Fiberglass pools arent all that different from other pools except in the material theyre made of. For example, you could have an inground pool or an above ground pool made of fiberglass and call it a fiberglass pool. The advantages of installing a fiberglass pool over a traditional concrete inground pool is that fiberglass is much stronger and more flexible than concrete and a fiberglass inground pool can be installed in just two to five days! They also require less maintenance because the fiberglass is designed to resist the growth of algae. Also, you dont need to worry about replacing torn pool liners.
Pool Covers
If you dont have a , you could spend a lot more time cleaning your pool than you spend swimming in it. Pool covers will catch leaves and other debris from your garden if you have trees or plants surrounding your pool. A good pool cover can also prevent little kids or pets from falling into the pool and drowning. However, you shouldnt rely on a pool cover to keep children and pets out of the pool. You should really have a fence or something to keep them out of there altogether. If you have small children, they could fall in the pool and get trapped underneath the pool cover. You should never attempt to swim under a pool cover.
Pool Pumps
Pool pumps are necessary for circulating an filtering your pool water. If you didnt have a pool pump to do this, your pool would become a scummy pond. Stagnant water isnt good because it attracts bugs and all sorts of wildlife. Some people have also found creative and economical ways to heat their pool by rerouting the i rpool pump . If you have a shed or cabana hut near your pool, you can lay pipes on the roof and pump the water through the pipes, on its way to your pool. The pipes get hot in the sun and heat the water before its pumped into your pool. It just takes a little more energy to pump the water into pipes than it would to pump directly into the pool. This is a fairly environmentally friendly way to heat your pool because it really just uses solar power. Another way to heat your pool in a more indirect manner is to install solar panel to power a water-heater. This is not as good as the pipe idea because solar panels can be very expensive. However, you could power your pool pump with solar panels and heat your pool with solar heating pipes.
